Dr. Lijia Liu is an Assistant Professor at the department of Chemistry, Western University, Canada. Trained as a chemist and synchrotron spectroscopist, she investigates the electronic structure and optical properties of light-emitting materials, ranging from semiconductor nanomaterials to lead halide perovskites for optoelectronic devices. Her current work centers on developing persistent luminescent nanophosphors for applications in optical bioimaging, sensing, and anticounterfeiting.She has a total of 120 papers published in peer-reviewed journals and 3 book chapters, with a total citation of 4400 and an h-index 37

Dr. Xu received his Ph.D. degree in the area of Optical Communications and Intelligent Signal Processing in School of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), at Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden. Following this, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at KTH and RISE Acreo Sweden and a visiting Research Fellow at Technical University of Denmark (DTU). After that, he worked as a Senior Research Fellow in Optical Networks Group (ONG) at University College London (UCL). Dr. Xu is a Reader in School of Engineering at University of Warwick, and he is also an Honorary Lecturer in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at University College London (UCL). His current research interests include optical communication, optical sensing, intelligent signal processing, and machine learning techniques. He is a Senior Member of American Physical Society (APS) and a Fellow of Higher Education Academy (HEA). Dr. Xu is an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Communications and Journal of the European Optical Society-RP. He has served as the Chair of Optics in the Digital Systems Technical Group of the Optical Society of America (Optica) and as the TPC co-chair or member of over 20 IEEE conferences, including GLOBECOM and ICC. He is the coordinator of an EU Horizon Europe Grant, the project manager for an EU Horizon 2020 Grant and the PI for a UK National Grid Project. He has published over 180 journal and conference papers (including over 30 invited) and 2 invited book chapters.

Junjun Jia is a Faculty of Science and Engineering, Global Center for Science and Engineering at Waseda University, Japan. His research activities are concentrated in the field of inorganic solid materials, such as functional oxides, and related optical and electronic devices. I am working on the synthesis and property evaluation of inorganic thin film materials using sputtering and MBE, as well as the fabrication and performance evaluation of optical and electronic devices, with a view to the application of energy and environmental technologies such as thin film transistors (TFTs), thermoelectric elements, photocatalysts, and piezoelectric devices.

Savo Glisic: WPI, Worchester MA , and was with Oulu University, and INS Institute for Networking Sciences/Globalcomm Oy. He was visiting scientist at Cranfield Institute of Technology, Cranfield, U.K. (1976-1977) and University of California, San Diego (1986-1987). He has been active in the field of wireless communications and has published a number of papers and books. The latest book “Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing for Wireless Networks, John Wiley and Sons, 2021” covers the enabling technologies for the definition, design and analysis of incoming 6G/7G systems. His research interest is in the area of network optimization theory, artificial intelligence, block chain technology, cloud/edge/fog computing, networks information theory, network sciences, quantum channel information theory and quantum computing enabled communications. Dr. Glisic has served as the Technical Program Chairman of the third IEEE ISSSTA’94, the eighth IEEE PIMRC’97, and IEEE ICC’01. He was Director of IEEE ComSoc MD programs

Department of Physics and Astronomy, The University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM, USA. He obtained his Ph.D. in Physics from Paris-Saclay University in 1978. During the last five years, he has been working on laser pulse propagation in the atmosphere in collaboration with Professor Diels at the University of New Mexico and in the field of Chaos and integrability applied to wakefield acceleration (electron acceleration in laser-matter interaction) and solar energy variability. He organizes at Paris-Saclay University an annual workshop on “Nonlinear Systems Dynamics, Hamiltonian Dynamics, Chaos and Integrability” in which he is a Lecturer. He recently published several papers in the field of Electron Acceleration in Laser-Matter Interaction, in the variability analysis, in wavelet decomposition, in how to determine an optimal embedding…He published two papers on the laser propagation in a turbulent atmosphere He was elevated to the rank of “fellow of the European Physical Society” in April 2012 partly for his pioneer analytical work on electron dynamics in a relativistic regime, in relation to the very important field of high- intensity and sub-picosecond laser absorption in over-dense plasmas. He published in 1983 a paper in which he defined a simplifying transformation consisting in reducing oblique incidence of a strong electromagnetic wave to a 1D problem. He was appointed to Adjunct Professor at the University of New Mexico in June 2016.He became Senior member of the IEEE in March 2017.
